Team Building
for professional development days or staff retreats
For 10 to 100+ attendees
Spice up your staff retreat or professional development day with indoor team experiential games and activities. They always include a Group Debrief to maximise your learning outcomes and return on investment.
Prior to your event, we will ask you about your current workplace issues. We'll then devise a series of exercises that are fun, yet encourage self-reflection.
The goal is to cultivate teams to do better as a team what they already do well.
Your personalised selection of games and activities explore concepts of . . .
• Trust
• Communication
• Values
• Leadership / Followership
• Continuous Improvement
Here are some examples of indoor experiential team activities:
1. Balls in the Bucket
A blindfolded volunteer tosses balls in a bucket, guided by the team.
Debrief: Introduce concept of feedback, which links to group dynamics.
2. Spuds and straws
This trick is an exercise in the art of influence, and leads into a debrief referring to John Adair's Functional Leadership model.
3. Traffic Jam
This activity highlights the need for a leader to take charge and communicate the plan.
4. Contamination Clean-up – Win as much as you can.
This is a larger team activity. The instruction is to ‘win as much you can’. This is a high energy activity that links to how a team working together can achieve more than an individual.
5. Paper Plates
Is there any way to cut your time in half? Is there any way to be more efficient?
. . . and there's a whole learning toolkit of more activities to select from.
Understand our quality process for customising
Brainpower Training has a unique way of tailoring programs to your people and the situations they face.
1. Diagnostic Conversation TM
asking you some questions that are usually easy to answer.
There's no obligation, but if you do decide to go ahead, we can forward this info to our Facilitator as your 'brief', describing your specific learning and business-related outcomes.
This process is useful to do even before you decide which training provider tomove forward with. During this discussion you can judge if our course content matches what you are looking for and whether we are the right cultural fit for your organisation.
2. Scenarios
Once your dates are confirmed, we send you our 'Scenarios' e-mail for you to forward to your attendees requesting them to send in short situations or dilemmas they may experience in the workplace relevant to the topic. Or you can simply come up with 5 or 6 that are representative.
3. Pre-call
In addition, our experienced and qualified Facilitator will contact you by phone prior to the workshop to confirm logistics and what you'd like emphasised or focused on.
